I am reprinting an article that appeared in the Malibu Times with my Predictions for 2011:
She has successfully predicted stock market fluctuations, the market bottom on March 9, 2009, political changes, Mark Madoff’s suicide, the Laker’s NBA Championship win in 2009 and 2010 and even the winner of the 2010 World Series, not to mention predicting the outcome of events in people's lives. She believes the success in prophecy is our ability to change what she sees. These days AVERI TORRES, Malibu's “Resident Psychic®,” is looking ahead to 2011.
“The year is a number four in numerology and in tarot it's the emperor,” Torres said.
So just what does that mean?
“It has to do with balance, authority and power,” she said. “This will be a year of achievement, admiration and comfort. We will see a quantum leap in consciousness, accountability and integrity.”
Torres has been practicing in Malibu for more than 30 years, in total 50 years. She grew up in upstate New York before making Malibu her home. She has built a loyal following of clients world-wide from U.S. Presidents, Global Government Leaders, CEOs, Celebrities and is able to see where their lives may be out of balance, options and choices not yet visible, and helps them to listen to their own inner voice.
Between economic uncertainty, the housing crash, political infighting and wild weather, many are wondering what the next year has in store.
“I feel the economy is improving and will continue to improve slowly,” she said. “I see interest rates starting to climb in the second half. The stock market will be volatile but ends on an up note. This will be a good year to invest in the market.”
She also sees encouraging news on the real estate front. “I feel we have already bottomed out,” she said. “Overall I feel the housing market will improve, but 2012 will be an even better year.”
Torres believes genetic crops will become more acceptable. By 2012, she feels the majority of states will accept gay marriages. She says that “tanning beds will be taken off the market as they are harmful and skin and bone diseases which show up 3 to 5 years after use, will be attributed to the correct cause, the tanning beds.”
She also sees an increase in terrorist attacks in Dubai, India, London, Spain as well as an increase in pirate attacks. Korea, Iran, Syria and Egypt remain hot spots. Also, she sees high probability of financial crisis in Brazil. In late summer, Torres sees an assassination attempt with retaliation and explosions.
Despite a struggling economy, Torres said she sees more “mega mansions” being built. At the same time, plans to expand and create local shopping centers will run into snags and delays, not getting started for another 3 to 5 years.
Like many businesses across the country, local merchants have been struggling, but Torres believes they will fare better in the New Year. “People will be willing to spend more little by little,” she said. “We saw it over the holidays and we will see it increasing again in 2011.”
2010 was wet and wild as for weather events and natural disasters as she had predicted; Torres said there might be an increased risk of earthquakes on the West Coast and throughout the Pacific, Sea of Japan, Gulf of Mexico, Indian Ocean. There will also be “intense solar flares which can cause havoc with electronics, satellites and hormones. 2011 will be another year of unusually intense weather.”
After years of partisan bickering in Washington, Torres sees greater cooperation. “People are becoming more aware,” she said. “I see a healthy change politically though not overnight. We all are realizing the importance of integrity as well as working together so we can create a better world.”
Intuition will increase in quantum leaps in 2011 and many will experience new spiritual awareness. Communication of higher wisdom will be the new guide”, Torres says.
What's more, love is in the air. Torres says 2011 will be a year of romance with a spike in local weddings and charity events held in Malibu. I see people becoming much more generous and kind to each other.
“People are awakening to the awesome power that exists within each of us when taking responsibility for our actions and treatment of our earth, by being more loving, tolerant, compassionate and by sharing, we can become a better people and will bring about the visions we hold in our hearts and souls for a better tomorrow.”
